Best Leveling Spec For Hunter

By James Rolan

Trying to figure out the best leveling spec for hunter? We’ll discuss the two viable choices for a strong leveling spec, and what you need to do to make them really shine!

The first option is the simpler to play and less gear dependant Beast Mastery. BM hunters have respectable damage even in mediocre gear, which is handy for leveling as many players can’t afford to stay geared to the teeth. Second, the pet has improved aggro and tanking skills, meaning you don’t have to spend a lot of time Feign Death-ing and kiting. For a good BM leveling spec, focus on utility for your pet and improving your pets damage; your damage is important, but you REALLY want your pet doing as much as possible to improve its aggro. Mana isn’t as big a deal, since your pet does good damage and with Improved Aspects your damage in Viper Stance isn’t too bad.

The other possible choice for best leveling spec for hunter is Marksmanship. Marksmanship is capable of far more damage than BM, but your pet will be strained to hold aggro. You’ll want something with a pin or snare, like a crab or Hyena, and you’ll need good timing for abilities like Feign Death and Deterrence, so you can dump aggro and kite without loosing damage. If you do pull it off, though, Marksmanship is incredibly strong. Focus on talents that improve your shots and stings, and prioritize mana efficiency the most; the less time you spend in Viper Stance the better. Marksmanship is also a lot stronger in the potential gear department, as you get attack power from Intelligence, meaning Int gear is far better; of note is the Heirloom mail gear, which is okay for other hunters but completely amazing for Marksmanship thanks to a large dose of Int.

Hope this article helped you figure out which spec to go for. If you’re looking to level quicker, check out my comparison review of the top leveling guides and find yourself a good one – addons and the in-game quest tool don’t really compare.

Three Tips to Help Your World of Warcraft Levelling

World of Warcraft Leveling Tips to Help You Hit Level 80 Fast
By Tony Bolton

(Guest Post)

The game of World of Warcraft is ever expanding with the release of patches, and content for the game. The latest expansion the Wrath of the Lich King allows players to level from 70 to 80 now which for many players has added some needed freshness to the game. Though there are a number of guides out there to help you level up to 80 faster, However I feel that leveling can also be done without a guide so I wanted to focus on a few World of Warcraft leveling tips that can help you do just that.

1. Get a bigger bag. Nothing is more frustrating then when you are about to leave for a quest or when you find yourself far away from town discovering that your bag is full. So as soon as you get a chance make sure you get a bigger bag this really helps cut down on the amount of trips back to town just to empty out your bags.

2. Consider add-ons that will save you time. Some of the best add-ons available include the “carbonite quest,” “auctioneer” and my favorite, “auto profit.” Auto profit is very useful as it sells the items which you would have classified as gray junk to the vendor and it does all this in just one click. This is extremely useful, as it saves a ton of time, which can then be spent leveling. The carbonite quest works more or less like a quest helper with better mini maps and a really good quest tracker.

3. Get your mount as fast as you can. It is important to remember that travelling on a mount increases your travel speed thus cutting down on wasted travel time. So even for those players in the higher level zones’, upgrading your mount is just as effective for over over level 60 players as getting your first mount was at level 40

Of course there is a lot more World of Warcraft leveling tips but there just isn’t the time and space to cover all those in just one article. I suggest to learn more visit our site we cover a lot more WoW leveling tips as well review many of the leveling aids out there, so that you can reach level 80 faster then all your friends

World of Warcraft Leveling Guide – 5 Methods to Enjoy Yourself While Leveling Up

World of Warcraft Leveling Guide – 5 Methods to Enjoy Yourself While Leveling Up
By Dave Lex

(Guest Post)

Many people, including myself, do get drained from all the leveling once it has become the second or third or more character that you have leveled. In this leveling guide, I will share with you 5 ways I keep myself entertained while doing the drudgery of leveling up my alternate characters.

Method 1 – Switch on the TV

By turning to watch what’s on TV every few mins really takes the boredom out of leveling my alternate characters. The key is to watch a light comedy or game show so that you get entertained, but do not watch heavy shows such as dramas and suspense or action shows as it will make you want to focus on the show more than your game. This has happened to me many times and I turn to my screen only to find my poor character killed by some mob.

Method 2 – Get a leveling buddy

If you have a leveling buddy, you can at least talk to that person in game or through skype/phone and it will certainly make the game more enjoyable then if you were to level alone.

Method 3 – Get engrossed and consumed in the quest storyline

I’m sure if you have leveled a few characters like I have already, you wouldn’t even bother to care about the storyline of the quests. Chances are that you will just go to the main objective and get it over and done with. Just try for once, to enjoy the storyline and at least this will give the quest makers some credit!

Method 4 – Think of something worse that you have to do if you were not leveling

This method is a bit obscure but just try and think of the chores/assignments/projects/work you have to do if you do not level. In most cases, I’d rather be leveling than doing my assignments and projects!

Method 5 – Pay someone to level for you

When you pay someone to level up your character, you can do other things you enjoy. This is truly the most literal way where you can enjoy yourself while having your character leveled up at the same time!

I hoped this information has given you some refreshing ideas on how to enjoy leveling up and although it is not the best World of Warcraft leveling guide you have ever read, I’m sure it will help you enjoy more while leveling. If you wish to have more information, please go to –

What To Do In World of Warcraft Raids and Party

World of Warcraft Raid and Party Etiquette
By Justin Philippe

One of the most crucial leveling strategies in World of Warcraft is to join dungeon raids and instance runs. Aside from gaining experience, you also gain access to rare drops that non-elite mobs don’t drop or items that can only be found in dungeons or instances. But aside from possessing the strongest avatar in World of Warcraft, you must also have the basic party etiquette.

It is a given to show respect and be polite when we interact with other WoW players, but let us focus on what this means in a raid or party setting, whether it’s a guild group or a PuG.

Being Prepared:
We’ve all been in this situation. We finally got a handful (by handful I mean 5) players for a dungeon run. We summon party members to the instance, zone in and begin buffs. Just before the very first pull in a seemingly long run, someone says “Wait! I forgot [insert random reagent, potion, repair, etc]. Can you summon me back?”

Forgetfulness is a part of life and no one remembers everything all of the time. However, basic raid/party etiquette requires you to make your best effort at being prepared. In your rush to accept the summon or hop on the nearest flying mount, take a moment to check that you have everything that you need.

The acronym “PARR” (as in up to par) is very useful to check that you have made the basic preparations:

– Potions
– Appropriate Gear
– Reagents
– Repairs

Ninja Pulling:
You have a fantastic build, and the instance has been great… until now. There was a wipe or some other circumstance that has required the group to pause. Someone grows impatient and… INCOMING! Suddenly there are mobs running toward you. The group is caught by surprise. Someone wasn’t resurrected yet or perhaps the healers and casters are out of mana or the tankers are low in health. Maybe someone is AFK. Whether your group ends up being wiped or barely surviving, the group needs more time to recover from the ninja pull.

We can all become impatient; however, it is important to remember that ninja pulling will create more downtime that waiting patiently for your group to recover after the last batch of mobs. Basic raid and party etiquette requires us to wait for the designated puller to initiate the aggressive mobs, usually these would be the tankers. The puller also has to pay attention to the group’s life and mana status and makes sure that all members are present before a pull.

AFK [Away from Keyboard]:
Real life happens. No one should ever BEGRUDGE a member who needs to go AFK for legitimate reasons. However, there are some basic rules to follow when they are necessary, as well as basic steps to take to prevent unnecessary AFKs.

If you have a legitimate reason to go AFK during a party, provide the necessary information to your group. You must AFK because [x reason] and it should take no longer than [y amount of time]. If you must AFK for a period of time longer than 15 minutes, you may ask the group (before you leave) whether or not they want to wait for you, or if they would like to find someone else to fill in your shoes. If they prefer to find someone to fill your slot, leave the instance so they may bring in a new party member. If you must go AFK during a raid, provide the information to a raid leader or assistant and wait for their instruction.

The following steps should help you minimize AFK time and maximize CHARACTER LEVELING time:

– Make sure you have enough time for a specific encounter.
– If you have real life responsibilities, be sure you’ve completed them or you can set them aside till the run is complete.
– Grab a bite to eat and something to drink before you begin
– If something else grabs your interest (book, movie, girlfriend, etc), either decline the invitation or be sure you are willing to put it aside before you begin the instance.

Loot and consideration:
It sucks when you do an instance and walk away empty handed. Sometimes though, that’s just the way it goes. This may come as a surprise, but you are not entitled to loot simply because you participated. There are other members you must consider. If the shadow priest can use that wand, the warlock isn’t the default winner.

The following loot rules apply to most parties (unless otherwise stated before the run):

– Pass on all Blues and BoPs (Binds on Pickup). Discuss who would like to roll for the item. Roll random 1-100. The individual with the highest roll wins the item. If the individual with highest roll decides to pass, the item goes to the next highest roller.
– Blues are held for (EndLoot)
– Roll greed for all BoE (Binds on Equip) Greens
– An individual may only receive one blue run.

Loot rules may vary from server to server and group to group. Be certain all party members agree to a set of rules before you begin the instance to minimize misunderstandings and “loot whoring.”
Raid Loot rules vary depending on the instance and the guild. Always familiarize yourself with your guild’s loot system before attending a raid.

These simple considerations will help any raid group or party run smoothly, maximizing your enjoyment of the game. Remember that sometimes your best efforts at group etiquette will not make up for a bad group or rude players. It is ok to leave a group that is rude or refuses to follow the leader’s instructions (or if the leader is an idiot who refuses to implement better suggestions). You should always attempt to do so in a respectful manner.

What’s Your Definition of a Gamer?

What Defines a Gamer?
By D King

There are many definitions to define what a gamer is. I’ve heard many, and have agreed with most of them. Just like with most things in life gamers come in different levels and stages, habits and tendencies. This is a philosophical question in my opinion, no right or wrong answer, usually every answer I hear has some logic to it. Some believe that even in their spare time play, that they are gamers, I concur.

You’ve owned some type of video game console since the beginning of the Atari days. Your a lock for being a gamer. The people who are the first ones when the stores opens to get the latest game to come out, or even better, camp out overnight to get what they want. Gamer! Beating a game more than once, finding things you missed the previous time around, makes you a gamer. Some people play sports games, some just play Madden, they too are gamers.

I’ve heard those who play the Xbox 360 and PS3 refer to the Wii as a toy and whoever plays it as their main console, is not a gamer. I would have to disagree that. I personally believe that the PS3 is better than the Wii overall. I also believe that Nintendo found a winner with the Wii, ran with it, and still have yet to slow down. I just believe Nintendo has been smarter as a company for the last few years. I’ve also heard PC gamers refer to all gaming consoles as toys, everyone has opinion right?

Last but not least we have the “No Lifers”. They live to play video games, every day of every year. They are the gladiators of video games, the hardcore, they pretty much consist of every definition of a gamer combined into one, crazy.

In my opinion what defines a gamer depends on who you ask. Some are more hardcore, others are casual, some play for perfection, some play a particular niche of game, others bleed video games. There are countless other definitions and I pretty much agree with them all. If you play enough video games to consider yourself a gamer no matter what your skill level, or time invested, or anything else, who am I to say any different, you’re a gamer. What’s your definition of a gamer?

How to Grow Your Gold In World of Warcraft

Holding on to Your Gold for World of Warcraft New Players
By Hunter Sear

If you are saving for a large purchase in World of Warcraft Gold, then you will want to avoid impulse buying in the Auction House (AH).

What is impulse buying? It is easy to allow that huge pile of WoW gold to burn a hole in your virtual pockets. Since your character cannot really bank the gold, it is always with them, tempting you to spend. When you see thousands of gold right there as you find that perfect new weapon or other fun item in the AH, you might be tempted just to start spending. That is impulse buying. Like real life at the candy shelves in the grocery store checkout line, you must resist!

I suggest always having a bank “Alt.” An “Alt” is an “alternate character” that does not do much adventuring but rather stays near the bank and mailbox in a home city. Make it a habit to send your extra piles of gold to this character on your account. That way, when the urge hits your Main character to just spend on the latest gadget rather than saving for the one purchase you most truly want, you will not have easy access to the money.

I know you can just log off, relog on the Alt character, send the money to your Main, log off the Alt and log back on the Main. Hopefully, having your money only accessible through this long process will quench the fire of the impulse purchase burning in your mind.

For an even more effective, slow down of your impulse spending of gold, try having a second game account to hold your gold. There is an hour or so delay between the sending and receiving of mail and money when using two accounts. Maybe this will help you stop your impulse buying even further.

Make smart decisions about your World of Warcraft gold! You are going to love the rewards of buying the Uber gear you really want rather than dwindling away your gold on small purchases.

Warcraft Quests: A Brief Summary

World of Warcraft Quests – A Brief Summary
By John Dobbins

World of Warcraft is an exciting MMORPG game that is absolutely filled with quests that you can do to gain levels, money and reputation with dozens of different factions.

Beginning with level 1 you will be offered quests to help get better armor and weapons and the better equipment you have, the easier it is to survive in the World of Warcraft environment. Often times you can accomplish several quests at the same time or at least in the same areas. The trick is to know which order to do these quests to get the most done in the least amount of time. This can be tricky at times, especially when you are dealing with “chain”quests.

Chain quests are a string of quests that tie together. You do the first part of a chain before you are eligible for the second part. Once the second part is turned in you become eligible for the third part and so on. These chain quests are usually a good way to build your reputation with whichever faction you are questing for and generally have a pretty good prize for finishing them. That prize may be a new piece of armor or a weapon and money. Sometimes the quests in World of Warcraft only pay money but that money comes in very handy for buying potions, buying materials to raise your skill level in a trade or saving to buy things that are expensive, like mounts. The higher your level, the more money you earn with each quest.

If you are looking for an exciting way to explore the many different areas and fascinating creatures of Norrath then log into World of Warcraft and start questing.

The Undead Race in World of Warcraft Wow

Info on the Undead – World of Warcraft
By Evan Madden

There are five different races that belong to the horde faction in World of Warcraft. These include: Blood Elves, Orc, Tauren, Troll, and the Undead World of Warcraft races. When you make your character when you first start the game, you will be able to choose the race for this character. Your race determines what your character looks like physically, and also their starting location, what classes you can choose for them, special abilities, and also what their stats are at the beginning of the game. Undead World of Warcraft statistics are as follows:

The possible classes you can choose for the Undead are: Dead Knight, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior.

Your starting location will be Deathknell, Trisfal Glades.

Possible mounts for the Undead include the Undead Steed for land, and the Vampire Bat for flying.

They speak Orcish, and Undead.

Special abilities include Will of the Forsaken, which can be activated to become immune to fear, sleep, and charm effects, lasting twenty seconds. Cannibalize increases your health generation by one hundred percent for twenty seconds and only works on humanoid or Undead corpses within five yards. Underwater breathing gives you a three hundred percent bonus breathing time. Shadow resistance gives you +10 shadow resistance.

After breaking free from the Lich King rule, the Undead became a rebel group who are known as the Forsaken. They aim to maintain their free will and kill anybody who stands in their way. Their goal is to create a new plague that will kill their rivals as well as the rest of civilization.

There are many benefits to choosing the Undead as a race in World of Warcraft. When you are creating your character, you may want to check them out because they have some great advantages.
