How to Get Gold in World of Warcraft: A Newbie Basic

So you are New to WOW or World of Warcraft Cataclysm? Here is a gold-making tip for brand-new Alliance newbies.

1. Kill everything you can from the moment you arrive.
Don’t run past things to get to the next place. Nuke or slice away on your way to where it is you are going. Then, sell everything that you put in your backpack. Only spend money on your basic training. Gear matters very little when you are first starting out. Keep up this grinding process until you have about 10 silver. It will happen fast.

2. Sell a basic thing: herbs.
If you are in Stormwind, go all the way around to the flower shop that is near the unused instance-gate. It’s called Fragrant Flowers. Go just up the road from the Stormwind Gryphons and make the first right. Go through that tunnel and then make a right again. All the way down at the end of that road is the Flower Shop. You are also going to need this Shop later for the “Stormwind Seasonings” when you get questing in the Darkshire region.

In the flower shop, spend a few of your silver on one of the cheaper herbs that the vendor sells such as mageroyal or earthroot. Typically these will sell for about 75 (or so) copper. Don’t spend all your silver here! The vendor’s name is Bernard Gump and he is at the basic coordinates 69, 71. Don’t buy flowers from any of them. They’re junk.

Hint: Later on, you will be asking, “Where do I get Stormwind seasoning?” The answer is: the lady right next to Bernard. Make a note in your head about this.

4. Auction House Buy Out
Take these few herbs and go put them up on the auction house. You will need a few silver to put the herbs at a buy out price of 20-40 silvers each. On most servers, this should be a steal price for the other players. Sell the herbs individually and be sure you have a buy-out price.

Do this process a few times and you will be on your way to a few gold. I’ve used this exact basic process to have hundreds of gold on my first level characters multiple times over. Slow and steady and profitable should be your goal. Start with this very basic process.

There is never a need to beg other for gold or say stupid things in trade-chat about needing money.

Warcraft Quests: A Brief Summary

World of Warcraft Quests – A Brief Summary
By John Dobbins

World of Warcraft is an exciting MMORPG game that is absolutely filled with quests that you can do to gain levels, money and reputation with dozens of different factions.

Beginning with level 1 you will be offered quests to help get better armor and weapons and the better equipment you have, the easier it is to survive in the World of Warcraft environment. Often times you can accomplish several quests at the same time or at least in the same areas. The trick is to know which order to do these quests to get the most done in the least amount of time. This can be tricky at times, especially when you are dealing with “chain”quests.

Chain quests are a string of quests that tie together. You do the first part of a chain before you are eligible for the second part. Once the second part is turned in you become eligible for the third part and so on. These chain quests are usually a good way to build your reputation with whichever faction you are questing for and generally have a pretty good prize for finishing them. That prize may be a new piece of armor or a weapon and money. Sometimes the quests in World of Warcraft only pay money but that money comes in very handy for buying potions, buying materials to raise your skill level in a trade or saving to buy things that are expensive, like mounts. The higher your level, the more money you earn with each quest.

If you are looking for an exciting way to explore the many different areas and fascinating creatures of Norrath then log into World of Warcraft and start questing.

The Undead Race in World of Warcraft Wow

Info on the Undead – World of Warcraft
By Evan Madden

There are five different races that belong to the horde faction in World of Warcraft. These include: Blood Elves, Orc, Tauren, Troll, and the Undead World of Warcraft races. When you make your character when you first start the game, you will be able to choose the race for this character. Your race determines what your character looks like physically, and also their starting location, what classes you can choose for them, special abilities, and also what their stats are at the beginning of the game. Undead World of Warcraft statistics are as follows:

The possible classes you can choose for the Undead are: Dead Knight, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior.

Your starting location will be Deathknell, Trisfal Glades.

Possible mounts for the Undead include the Undead Steed for land, and the Vampire Bat for flying.

They speak Orcish, and Undead.

Special abilities include Will of the Forsaken, which can be activated to become immune to fear, sleep, and charm effects, lasting twenty seconds. Cannibalize increases your health generation by one hundred percent for twenty seconds and only works on humanoid or Undead corpses within five yards. Underwater breathing gives you a three hundred percent bonus breathing time. Shadow resistance gives you +10 shadow resistance.

After breaking free from the Lich King rule, the Undead became a rebel group who are known as the Forsaken. They aim to maintain their free will and kill anybody who stands in their way. Their goal is to create a new plague that will kill their rivals as well as the rest of civilization.

There are many benefits to choosing the Undead as a race in World of Warcraft. When you are creating your character, you may want to check them out because they have some great advantages.

Getting Started in World of Warcraft? (Part One)

Are you just getting started in World of Warcraft?

I’ve been playing World of Warcraft (WoW) since its debut several years ago. It’s one of my favorite MMORPG (means “Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game”) ever- and I’ve played almost all of them as well as being a Game Master (GM) back in the day for a game.

So, let me share with you some of the things I have learned about my favorite hobby, playing WoW!

1. Enjoy the Quality of the Game
WoW is filled with boatloads of content! Although I have maxed several different characters of different classes, there is still some content I have not yet played. That amazes me! There is so much to do in the game. Don’t get too focused on leveling that you miss the huge content and quality that the folks over at Blizzard have created for you in WoW. Since Warcraft is an immersive experience, spend some time immersing yourself!

Once you have some experience and you are ready to move along a bit faster with a second or third character, there are many excellent leveling guides out there. My favorite in-game World of Warcraft leveling guide is the one produced by IDemise. You can learn more about that when you click here.

2. Talk with Other Players

Wow is not a game you play by yourself. Although you can solo in WoW, it is not nearly as much fun. Most people in the game will be willing to help you if you are polite, not begging for Warcraft gold, and able to take “no” for an answer. If you ask another player for help, they may be able to assist you with your needs, just part of your needs or not at all. There are many reasons a person may not be able to assist you at any given time, so if someone denies your request for help, thank them for their time and move on.

3. Do All the Newbie Area Quests
The designers at World of Warcraft are smart people. The starting area for each race is well thought out. Unlike most games that give you a time-wasting tutorial, WoW starting areas give you the training you need to play the game while at the same time you can earn coins and equipment to make your new character stronger. Do these quests, enjoy the fun and easy leveling up to about level six and don’t miss out on one of the best designed parts of the World of Warcraft universe. If you are brand new, the newbie areas will take you about two hours to complete, more or less.

This ends part one of my getting started guide to WoW, the World of Warcraft.
